• Low water level: The most common cause is the water level in the cistern being too low to generate enough force for a proper flush.
  • Solution: Access the cistern through the flush plate and adjust the fill valve or the float mechanism to increase the water level.
• Faulty flush valve or flapper: A defective or misaligned flush valve can cause a weak or incomplete flush. A worn-out flapper can allow water to leak from the tank, reducing the amount of water available for the flush.
  • Solution: After shutting off the water supply, remove the flush plate to inspect the valve and flapper for debris or damage. Clean or replace any worn parts.
• Issues with the flush plate linkage: The mechanism that connects the flush button or handle to the flush valve can be improperly adjusted. If the chain or rod is too loose, it may not open the flush valve fully.
  • Solution: Adjust the chain or rod to ensure it properly activates the flush valve
